Today I was telling my neighbor about all the things my kids are going to be involved in this fall and now I'm scared that I've bitten off more than I care to chew. Here are the activities we're hoping to participate in...
- Buddy: piano lessons (as usual...the three "big" kids have taken piano since starting kindergarten), flag football, orchestra (he's just informed me that he wants to play the viola)
- Missy: piano lessons, dance (ballet), Jr. Cardinelles (which is a drill team workshop that the high school does...it's only a week, but still...), volleyball, orchestra (violin)
- Bug: piano lessons, soccer (not too bad...)
- Lemur and Mister: they're still uninvolved...other than preschool.
Thinking about the logistics of getting all the kids in the appropriate places gives me ulcers. And fitting dinner, homework, reading, practicing, FHE, etc. in there sends me into panic attacks. Good grief! What was I thinking?!

Sounds like you could use one of those huge dry-erase/ magnet boards that I saw on tv, they make them indiviual (for each kid) and huge family ones. If I remember right the web site is alaboard.com.
I wish that I had a wall big enough for the BIG one in my kitchen.
Thanks, Loni! That's exactly what I need!
Ugh!, sounds busy, You go super-woman, I know you can do it. I really need to look into piano lessons, or sit down and teach the girls what I know, which is about the 1st year of piano lessons. I think Kylie might be a natural, the girls have taught her songs and she'll replay them. Also, I was in the bathroon the other day, and I heard her singing book of mormon stories, and she was playing along with the correct notes. At least the first 4 or 5.
Wow, you're ambitious!
good luck friend.
I remember days of picking up, dropping off and picking up. Kids changing in the car, snacks in the car etc. It seems like forever ago. I used those times to talk with my kids. Find out about thier day and what their friends were doing. Sometimes it was the only time they would have my undivided attention~ if only for a minute.
These are good but crazy times~
Hang in there
Debbie
