Time Flies!

I can't believe that 11 years ago we were preparing to meet our twins. It seems like just yesterday we were so anxious to see them. Grandma had come to visit and await their birth. We waited and waited and waited. Silly us, we thought twins were bound to come a little early! They had other plans...we tried all we could to force them out. They were finally born at 6:44 and 6:48 a.m. on June 26, 1997. We took them home 2 days later. And I thought I was never again going to be able to sleep for more than 15 minutes at a time! Now here they are, big 11-year-olds. Only one more year of elementary school (yikes!). Puberty is just around the corner (YIKES!). Where did all the time go?!

I have to brag a bit about my Love! He ran that race yesterday (after already running 4 miles during the day--he keeps saying he was so tired!), came in 15th overall (out of about 350 runners), and placed 2nd in his age category. He doesn't think so, but I say he's talented.

run, Honey, run!

Tonight my Lovey is running a 5K race. I was going to run it with him, but I petered out in "training". The whole family is going to support him. Hopefully it'll spark some interest in some of the kids and they'll want to run the next one with him (us?). I'm gonna try for the city 5K in August.

First ever

So, I broke down and finally decided to do a blog. I'm a bit notorious for starting journals and only writing in them sporadically, so we'll see how this goes.
